Our initial involvement with a client may be to resolve a specific problem identified by the client, their bankers or their advisors. This will often involve uncertainty with the management information currently being provided, or sometimes be in response to unexpected results from annual accounts preparation. This may also arise from specific issues identified during the controlled implementation of a new accounting system for a new client. These projects have included:
- A recovery from a disastrous system change for a client leaving them with no proper accounting records, and no effective MI. We implemented immediate interim systems followed by the proper specification and implementation of a “Cradle to Grave” accounting system meeting their ongoing and future requirements.
- The upgrading of an accounting system from its prior use to solely issue invoices and facilitate credit control, to a complete accounting and MI package providing up to date, effective and reliable MI.
- Implementing a set of customised reporting routines simplifying the preparation of month end Management Information for a major client from several days work each month to less than ½ day per month
- A complete reconstruction of the accounting records of a client where there had been a total breakdown of systems, including implementing a new accounting and sales system, recruitment of a new full time finance Controller and a general overhaul of all administration systems. As a result, the immediate effect was to vastly improve cash flow due to effective controls on their Debtors ledger
